Nevada

Do you have a family member or friend in who served at Nellis Air Force Base? Maybe your National Guard sibling from Las Vegas deployed to the Middle East, or perhaps your ancestor near Stead Air Force Base answered the call to serve in WWII. Whatever the case, Nevadans have stepped up time and time again to defend America, our freedoms, and our Constitution.

Nevada is rightfully proud of its official “I Vote to Honor a Service Member” program. Voters from the Silver State are encouraged to cast their ballots in honor of those who fought on behalf of their country and the right to vote.

“The Office of the Secretary of State invites Nevadans to show their support for a family member, a friend, a neighbor or a military unit by submitting a personal message or tribute. Participants will receive a pin to wear when they go to cast their ballot.”

Voter tributes are displayed on a unique website page. These inspirational dedications infuse voting with an even deeper meaning for friends and relatives of veterans. If you have never served in uniform, then consider voting in honor of a veteran and continue making Nevada proud of America’s heroes.
